Giovanni Torres

Giovanni is a dance professor, choreographer and Colombian DJ. After arriving in Canada in the early 90’s, he soon began his own dance company, Los Salsómanos, which has been in operation for 16 years. As a salsa fanatic, he collects long plays, dedicates his time educating new generations and is an active participant in the TD Salsa in Toronto festival. He spends his time performing with his dance company, DJing, and learning about new “salseros”. He has played at the Montreal Salsa Congress, in Miami, Chicago, and Colombia. “Salsa will always express a feeling, and that is what I live by”.
