SCARLET

As a little girl, Scarlet attended salsa competitions with her father. Originally thinking it was for older people, she soon changed her mind when she saw many people her age competing. She developed a love for salsa and began performing with her father. Seven years ago, a friend introduced her to Patrick and they have worked together since, competing, teaching and performing. Her dream is for Vancouver to become Canada’s salsa capital.

PATRICK

At the age of 17, after ending a relationship, Patrick became interested in dance. Though a former boxer, he noticed he’d attend parties and want to dance with everyone! He decided to take Salsa lessons and now dances, teaches and studies the history of the genre. He feels fortunate to do what he loves with the person he loves.
